UNSLA Welcome Letter

Welcome to our research program! Our program helps students like you work one-on-one with a world-
class scholar on an independent research project. Through our research program, you can connect with
PhD experts in your fields. Also, at the end of the program, you’ll develop an independent research
paper that you could publish in a prestigious journal.

Learning how to perform research, however, has many other benefits. You will explore an area of
research in a way you may have never done before. You will hone your critical thinking, time
management, and writing skills. You will connect with inspiring mentors and like-minded students to
learn more about people from all over the country and all over the world. In this way, you are now
already part of an ever-growing research community!
